Knownunknown, a creative community based in the United States and established in 2018, focuses on creative platforms to develop SaaS to connect a global network of independent talent, including Creative Directors, Graphic Designers, Web Designers, and more.

Similar to Sneakbag, this is where I stepped in to offer them a free Data Analysis service, helping the team gather specific data and insights to support the creative brainstorming process. My analysis focused on product-tiering scales, geography, designer types, community events, as well as MRR and ARR.

The Tools
Unlike my previous project with Sneakbag, the data for this project had already been collected through questionnaires conducted by the Knownunknown team using Typeform. My role was to clean the dataset and create visualizations in Google Sheets to make sense of the data. This process was relatively straightforward since the total number of respondents was limited.

Additionally, I gathered and aggregated data that I manually collected or scraped from the Crunchbase website to analyze the demographic audience of various creative network platforms such as Behance, Dribbble, and WorkingNotWorking. I then created a dashboard in Tableau to compare these platforms.

As always, I designed the dashboard to align with the client's branding. This time, I primarily used black, purple, white, and blue to match Knownunknown's brand identity.

Finalising
After completing the analysis, visualizations, and dashboard, I realized that developing a SaaS platform for gathering independent talent—especially with AI integration—is entirely feasible for Knownunknown.

However, the Knownunknown team may need to conduct further research to successfully implement SaaS development and attract investors to support their idea.

I'm grateful that through this mini project, I learned new terminology I hadn't encountered before, such as MRR and ARR. I believe this knowledge will be valuable to me in the future.
